Broker Highlight: Jeanette Nelson

Parks is proud to highlight the managing broker of our Mt. Juliet office, Jeanette Nelson!

Jeanette holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and Communication from Western Kentucky University. Prior to real estate, she held management positions as a production coordinator with various large printing companies, as well as the role of Director of Print Operations for Whittle Communications. When it comes to real estate, Jeanette specializes in lake properties and residential sales in the areas of Wilson, Sumner, Davidson, and Williamson counties.

Jeanette has been a licensed REALTOR® and part of the Parks family for 17 years. She chose to become a real estate agent for the flexibility of being able to be present in her son’s lives, while also earning an income. When asked why she chose to join the Parks Family of REALTORS®, Jeanette said, “It’s just always felt like home!”

If Jeanette could offer a tip to new agents, it would be to know your contracts because they will empower you more than anything else you can do in your profession. “Remember, it's a privilege to have been chosen to help someone navigate the biggest financial transaction of their life. Know that it's not really about the money, it's about their desire to acquire or release something that has played an important role in the story of their life – they need for you to treat it that way,” she stated.

When reflecting on her professional accomplishments, Jeanette described, “My biggest professional accomplishment is that I have removed my ego from real estate and come to understand that everyone buying and selling a home needs endless understanding for their perspective.”

In her spare time, Jeanette enjoys the beach, gardening, collecting driftwood and stones, spontaneous dancing, and spending time outdoors celebrating the power and awe of nature. The truth is, Jeanette is a very private person and doesn’t really love the world of social media. However, she does love helping agents find their way in a business where the stakes are high, and you have to use your heart as much as your head to create a win.
